Questions
Is my chat uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read by your own browser. Your messages never reach our server — try it in airplane mode. The payment step only sends an anonymous code for the chat so your unlock works, never its content.
How do I get the chat file?
Android: open the chat → ⋮ → More → Export chat → Without media → save to Files. iPhone: open the chat → tap the name → Export Chat → Without Media → Save to Files. Then pick that file on Chatpata.
Does it work with Hinglish and Hindi?
Yes. Chatpata understands “sry”, “maaf”, “khana khaya”, “hmm”, “acha”, “jaan”, “babu” and friends — plus Devanagari words like “माफ़” and “प्यार”.
Group chats?
Yes — groups get a leaderboard, the good-morning king, the night owl, the ghosts and group awards.
How accurate is it?
Every number is counted from your export using a simple rule written on the card (for example: a conversation starts after 6+ hours of silence). Nothing is estimated or made up. If a chat doesn’t have enough data for a card, that card is skipped.
What if my payment fails or I don’t get the cards?
If money was taken but the story didn’t unlock, use “Restore purchase” with your payment ID, or email us — we refund failed or duplicate payments. See the refund policy.
Is this made by WhatsApp?
No. Chatpata is an independent website and is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. It only reads the export file WhatsApp lets you create.
